The Time Tree is an interactive story adventure, for 8-12 year olds and their families.
Participants see a familiar green space with fresh eyes, think about the future, and engage with nature in an imaginative, hands-on way. Using a mobile phone, they exchange messages and calls with a charcacter from the story – creating a strong sense that the story is happening around them in real time – while exploring the outdoors

Created for 8–12 year olds and their families, The Time Tree is suitable for anyone who’s confident about sending and receiving text messages and making calls on a mobile phone. Younger children can be accompanied by an adult, and will enjoy having the story read to them as they go along; confident readers can complete the adventure by themselves.
The Time Tree was created for War Memorial Park Coventry, and was available to experience during August 2021.
It was commissioned by Coventry City of Culture 2021 as part of the Green Futures Programme, in collaboration with Friends of War Memorial Park, supported by the National Heritage Lottery Fund and Severn Trent Community Fund.
